Join us and help promote the
traditional arts of Scotland
The Traditional Music and
Song Association of Scotland (TMSA) exists to promote the traditional
music and song of Scotland. Members include festival goers, singers,
musicians, publishers, organisers, tutors and people with an interest in
the traditional culture of Scotland. Affiliated members include
festivals and other like minded organisations.
Members receive a regular
newsletter, festival calendar and also benefit from advance notice of
events and reduced ticket prices at many TMSA organised concerts and
ceilidhs.
Locally, the TMSA operates
through 9 branches across Scotland. Keith and Angus (Kirriemuir) and
Auchtermuchtv branches organise annual festivals, other branches promote
regular ceilidhs, singarounds and other events.
Nationally, the TMSA works
to ensure that traditional music and song are given the highest profile.
The national office is in Edinburgh and this is the base for the national
organiser and admin assistant. We run events, workshops, tutor training,
produce information leaflets and other publications.
